It is official, I am a sucker for sports dramas. I just watched the new trailer for Rocky, and I am excited to see it. Sure I know that it is probably going to be over the top vehicle to milk a couple more dollars out of the Rock franchise, but I don't care. I am going to watch it and probably love it. Occasionally I like to think of myself beyond such emotional manipulation, but the truth is I am a sucker just like everyone else.

Well, there is such drama inherent in sports, so they are a natural fit. The sports. The drama. The divas in both. It works.
However, sports are never really as important as they are made out to be, you know. They always have to add another aspect to the sport. You aren't just winning because you are good players, you are winning because you are a team that has overcome racial prejudices and bonded despite everything. You aren't just a boxer, you are a down-on-your-luck poor boy that worked his bottom ;) off and represented everything good about America. They're always over the top. This one won't be any different.
